Attendance
Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his or her education, to benefit from teacher-led and school activities, to build each day’s learning on the previous day’s, and to grow as an individual. Absences from class may result in a disruption of a student’s mastery of the instructional content; therefore, the student and parent should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.
When Your Child is Absent:
- Email or call your child's campus receptionist on the day of the absence to notify the school of the reason for the absence. Notes must be submitted within 3 days of the child returning to school.
- In the absence note, please your child's name and grade, along with the reason for the absence. You can email the note to the campus receptionist or you can turn it into the office the day your child returns to school
- A child who is absent for 5 or more consecutive days will need to turn in a doctor's note upon their return to school.
