Meet our Officers!

Jason McEntire, Chief of Police
Jason McEntire - BISD Chief of Police

"I am Jason McEntire. I've been married for 34 years and have three daughters and have been in law enforcement for 30 years. I began working in the Henderson County Jail, then was hired as a patrol officer with Athens PD. While working there for 22 years, I held the position of patrol officer, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. I retired from Athens PD and came to work as the Police Chief for Brownsboro ISD PD in 2019--protecting each student as if they are my own children is my top priority."

Sam Sahimi, Resource Officer
Sam Sahimi - BISD Resource Officer
"A little about me, my name is Sam Sahimi.  I have served in the US Army for 20 years and 7 years in the Texas State Guard. The highest rank I held is a Command Sergeant Major. I first got involved in Law Enforcement back in 2007 as a jailer in Van Zandt County 1 April 2007 (what a good joke on me then). In 2008 in April the Sheriff walked up to me and said "you have to go to Dallas tomorrow  to take a test" as always I asked, what test Sheriff. He said a Psychological test, I looked at the Sheriff with a confused look on my face, and the Sheriff smiled at me and stated that I start the Police Academy next week.

On October 18, 2008 I graduated from the Kilgore Police Academy night school. I then left the jail and moved over to Transport, then to Patrol.

From 2008 to 2012 I was a Deputy on patrol in Van Zandt County until I moved to the Van Police Department. I worked for the city of Van from 2012 to 2018.  When I joined the Lindale ISD Police Department in August of 2018, and in December of 2018 I was hired to work as a Brownsboro ISD Police Officer. I have had a great time here in this school district, the teachers and staff here are among the best people I have ever worked with.

While serving as a Police Officer in Van and Brownsboro ISD I was still active in the Texas State Guard, and I was deployed to help support Hurricane Harvey and then the Civil unrest during COVID."

My favorite saying is:

"You treat people the way you want to be treated.  It never hurts to say please and/or thank you."
