Brownsboro road construction update

As the 2019-2020 school year begins there is a temporary traffic flow for Brownsboro Intermediate and Brownsboro High School students and parents. Effective immediately, Saylors Street (running between the high school and intermediate) is west-bound only.

Please take the following suggested route to drop off and pick-up your BIS student: Take Stuart Street (across from Y’s Hometown Foods) from Highway 31 and turn west-bound on to Saylors Street. Turn left into the first drive at BIS, dropping students off in the back parking lot.

For high school students, please make sure you park in the student parking lot only. Upon leaving school, please know that you will only be allowed to exit onto Hwy 31.

“We know this will cause some delays to your morning routine, but we are thankful for the work going into this project to help better our roads,” communications officer Emily Siemens said.

Construction on Saylors Street will continue into September. A portion of the roadway is still gravel so motorists are encouraged to use caution on the roadway.

“According to the supervisor on Saturday it will be at least a couple of weeks before the entire road is open,” district operations director Jeff Howard said.
